With looks that kill Stevens made a huge impression during the 80s as the guitar playing foil to former British punk rocker Billy Idolcrafting a style that would grant him leave of absence to form the Atomic Playboys. Discovered by Montrose and Van Halen producer Ted Templemanwho signed him to a deal with Warner Brothers RecordsSteve was allowed to record his debut album over a two year period such was their belief in his talent. Enlisting vocalist Parramore McCarty from Warrior and drummer Thommy Price who had played with Joan Jett and Billy Idolthe music is strictly high performance rockperformed ferociously with little in the way of apology. Originally issued in 1989 and expertly produced by Beau Hill (RattWinger)Stevens crafted an impressive guitar fuelled album that sounds as fresh and bright today as it did back then.
